Martial Roulot est professeur agrégé d’arts appliqués. Il enseigne à l’école Estienne à Paris aupès des parcours Design Typographique et Création Éditoriale. Ancien étudiant dans cette même école ; il est diplômé de l’ESAA Duperré et de l’ENSAAMA Olivier de Serres en design d’espace. C’est à la rencontre de ses premiers élèves en communication visuelle qu’il découvre de plus près la chose typographique.

Membre du collectif Letterpress Workers, ses activités d’artiste-auteur complètent l’expérience de la création et de l’impression typographique qu’il relaie auprès de ses étudiants

À l’enseigne de roulotgraphe, son atelier compte différentes presses typo et un fonds de caractères mobiles de quelques 300 casses.

Votre humble rapporteur vit et travaille dans le pays de Fontainebleau, au sud de la région parisienne.

Martial Roulot teaches type and book design at the école Estienne, Paris. After graduating in design and architecture, he started his journey in typography teaching it with his very first pupils in visual communication.

Member of Letterpress Workers collective, his design activities complement his main assignment : sharing typographic experience with his students.

Under the label roulographe, he owns his private workshop with several antique printing presses and about 300 cases of movable types.

Your humble reporter lives and works in the area of Fontainebleau, in the southern countryside of Paris.
